Coming from vastly different lived experiences and genres, SANSERIF blends in uences from Indie-Pop, Prog Rock, and Metal. The band is inspired by the likes of Loathe, Covet, Alexison on Fire, and Deftones to name a few. Victoria’s lush vocals backed by heavy riffs, ethereal tapping and the occasional screaming millennial create the perfect backdrop for Toronto’s newest hard hitting band. SANSERIF has been garnering the attention of industry professionals since the drop of their most recent single ‘HIDING PLACE (available on all streaming platforms).

Sanserif is an independent Art rock band based in Toronto, Ontario. In its newest iteration, the band consists of brothers Jonathan and Michael Friedman alongside new additions; bassist Madeline Bennett and vocalist Victoria Sawal.
Sanserif has opened for incredible acts like Auras and Bird problems, frequenting venues such as: Sneaky Dee’s, The Hard Luck and Supermarket.After a more than warm reception at their sold-out show for the release of their newest single ‘HIDING PLACE’, a new album is well on its way and their steady growing fanbase is eagerly requesting more frequent live shows across the GTA with international fans asking for a US tour, Sanserif is in demand.
